Do you offer trial lessons?

We offer a complimentary one-time trial tennis clinic at Prime Time Athletic Club for members only. For more information, please visit our website or email info@lmtennisacademy.com.

How do the lessons work?

Our lessons run year-round. Once you register for a month, your lessons will automatically continue each month unless you choose to discontinue.

What is the cancellation policy?

  • No refunds are offered for missed classes.

  •  No makeup classes are provided for missed sessions

  •  Each family is eligible for one courtesy credit per month

  • No credits or refunds will be issued for missed sessions due to:
    • Scheduling conflicts
    • Late arrivals
    • Behavioral issues or refusal to participate

  • Class Credits:
    • Have no cash value
    • Are non-transferable
    • Must be used within six (6) months of issuance
    • If a credit is issued, it will automatically be applied to the following month's cycle (reflected on next month's invoice)

What happens if it rains?

If lessons are canceled due to rain, extreme heat, wind, or poor air quality, we will notify you via email at least one hour before the lesson. A class credit will be issued for weather-related cancellations.

How do we get started?

When does a new session start, and when can we enroll?

New sessions begin on the 1st of each month and end on the 31st. Classes auto renew each month. If you'd like to enroll in a class that has already started, please email info@LMtennisacademy.com, and we will prorate the remaining lessons for you.

Where are you located?

All our classes are held in Burlingame, CA.

What is the student-to-coach ratio?

We keep our classes small, with a maximum of 5 students per coach. We strive to maintain a 3:1 ratio whenever possible.

What is the lesson format?

Our coaches are PTR- and USTA-certified and follow their training methodology, which includes:

  • Dynamic warm-up

  • Skill-focused drills

  • Tactical and game-based exercises

  • Cool-down and review

What is considered a beginner?

You are considered a beginner unless you:

  • Have consistent directional control and stroke dependendability

  • Have a USTA rating of 3.5 or higher

What is the difference between red, orange, green, and yellow balls?

  • Red Ball – Larger, softer, and slower, designed for young beginners (ages 4-6).

  • Orange Ball – Slightly faster, used on a smaller court for ages 7-10.

  • Green Ball – Lower compression than a standard ball, suitable for ages 10+ transitioning to full-court play.

  • Yellow Ball – A standard ball used for advanced junior and adult programs.
